Spoken Language peer/self/teacher assessment feedback sheets based on Spoken Language Endorsement criteria

I use adapted versions of these sheets that I made for Spoken Language assessments across all year groups because they enable pupils to self-assess and be peer assessed and I can do the teacher assessment and set a task during the assessment by simply ticking a box. The sheets include targets based on Content, Organisation, Vocabulary and Presenting Style so whichever skill is chosen as the 'How to Improve' skill, that's the one the teacher ticks in the choice of targets and students can go on to respond to teacher feedback.... Speaking and Listening Activities (Starters / Team Games)

Three simple challenges of varying length and difficulty that can be used as warmup activities in English or during tutor time. 1) Guess the word - a presentation with around 100 words / pictures for students to describe to their team / the class for them to guess. 2) I could sell my grandmother ... - teams are given an usual object to sell to the teacher; the most persuasive pitch wins. 3) Newspaper Design Challenge - students are given some simple materials (newspapers, paper straws, lolly sticks, masking tape etc.) and have to work as a team to come up with an innovativedesign / product which they pitch to the class.
